What Kind Of Person Should You Marry ? Lets Be Honest.

Picture is for illustrative purposes only

"A bastard will always be a bastard, and a whore will always be a whore".

Everyone wants to be happy in life. However, everyone has a different idea of what happiness means to them. Similarly, when deciding whom to marry, people do it for different reasons. Men and women have different basic criteria for selecting a mate to marry.

Guys generally look for girls who are attractive, and girls will prefer for guys who are materially well off. This of course may not the main consideration, but I've never met a guy who complained that his wife is "too attractive", or a girl who complained that her husband is "too rich".

A close second criterion will be intelligence. I've not met either guy or girl who complained that their other half is "too intelligent".

So, whilst, beauty, wealth and intelligence may not be the main criteria in selecting a mate, they are definitely not disadvantages.

Other criteria would be social status, parental approval, academic qualifications, race and religion. Some people select their mate on these criteria alone.

In terms of character of a person, the most I've heard is that "good personality" is important. But as "good personality" is subjective, thus "good personality" usually means "similar wavelength", in other words it could mean fcuking anything under the sun !

And everyone will hasten to add that, "he / she loves me very much etc etc..thats why I agree to marry him/ her bla bla bla..."

However, very little is considered about the true character of a person i.e what kind of person he / she really is ?

I've never however heard anyone discuss the true character of their potential life partner. It appears that once the criteria above is agreed or negotiated upon, the true character of a person is of little significance.

When a guy talks about his future wife, he will be happy to receive complements that she is attractive, have good academic qualifications, social status etc...and maybe "good personality" - whatever that means.

I know a guy who is married a girl who is only interested in his money and status. Everyone know this, and they pity him, because if he loses his money and status...he will lose his wife too - she will leave him.

Similarly, when a girl speaks about her husband to be, she will be pleased to point out that he is "rich" or having a high paying job, good academic qualifications or coming from a rich family etc...and also, sometimes add, that he has a "good personality" - again, this can mean anything.

A friend of mine is a single mom. She married a guy who looked "cool" and had a good job etc. but he was a womaniser. He continued being a womaniser after marrying her and he left her for "other women". Now she has to bring up 2 kids all by herself.

We all know that character of a person is difficult to change. Some people, however, would insist that a person's true character cannot change. A liar will always be a liar. A whore will always be a whore. A scoundrel will always be one. A bitch will always remain one.

After the wedding dust settles, you'll have to deal with the real person for the rest of your life, or file for divorce. Save yourself the trouble and decide wisely.

Its true, when people say you can't have everything. Thats why you'll have to choose the important qualities.

The true character of a person should be the main criterion and non negotiable part of the consideration when selecting someone to marry.

We know that some girls are not wife material. They may make a good mistress but not a wife. So guys, don't kid yourself; you cannot change someone to became wife material. Select wisely. Marry someone who will be a good wife and mother to your kids. If she is not wife material, just keep her as a mistress or girlfriend - DO NOT marry her; no matter how attractive she is, no matter how much she impresses your friends, no matter how much your parents like her.

Similarly, some guys are just not husband material. They make good "sugar daddys" or "Fcuk Buddies" but not husbands. No matter how rich they are, no matter how rich their parents are, no matter how high his status, no matter how "cool" he looks - you must not marry him.

One girl tells why she chose her husband despite him not being good looking or wealthy, she says, "because he has the character to face and handle life's challenges, I know I won't be hungry should I marry him".

Read a related post from the Colour Of Life (http://coolku.blogspot.com - what kind of man should female marry)

P/S: When considering a wife or husband, I think of Dr. Mahathir & Siti Hasmah, Anwar Ibrahim & Dr. Wan Azizah, Bill Clinton and Hilary Clinton, Lee Kuan Yew &
Kwa Geok Choo, Tan Koon Suan and Penny Chang. They are willing to stand by their mates during good times and bad.

What do you consider are the 3 main qualities for a husband / wife ?

Ok, please post your feed back.

Is Hysteria Caused By Evil Spirits ? Or Something Else...

"Guru wanita dan pelajar perempuan diserang histeria" di sebuah Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan di Kuantan, Pahang.

It is known that hysteria is a mental and emotional disorder that generally affects women. The question is, what is the cause of hysteria ?.

Is hysteria caused by evil spirits ?

The famous psychologist, Sigmund Freud (died in 1939) disagreed that hysteria is caused by evil spirits. In 1896 he concluded that the symptoms of hysteria is caused from unconscious memories of sexual abuse in infancy - he claimed that he had uncovered such incidents for every single one of his patients (one third of whom were men).

In the West, since the late 19th century, hysteria is generally believed to be the result of sexual dissatisfaction. The typical treatment of hysteria, then, was massaging of the patient's vagina (by the doctor) and later vibrators or water sprays was used, to cause orgasm.

Despite this psychological findings (or ignorant of it), a secondary school authorities in Kuantan, Pahang, seem to still believe that hysteria is caused by evil spirits.

According to a news report in a local tabloid recently, the school have invited a famous local bomoh called "Datuk" to help them solve cases of hysteria affecting female teachers and students of the school since May this year.

Apparently, the female teachers and students have become hysterical at about midday, everyday, since May this year.

The news report states that the Datuk was invited to solve the case in this school as he has successfully solved a similar case in another school last year.

So, if this Datuk fails to scare the evil spirits away...does anyone of you "fraudian psychologists" want to volunteer to cure these girls of their hysteria (using "western methods") ? hahaha.

Arab Social Escorts For RM500 Pay Day

According to Harian Metro, you can purchase the services of an Arab woman "social escort" for as little as RM500 for the whole day, in Kuala Lumpur.

These Arab women apparently ply their trade at high-end restaurants to attract well to do customers.

They usually dress sexily and hang out in groups. They prefer targeting male overseas tourists, as these tourists are willing to pay a higher prices for escort services - and sometimes prefer 2 women at once, for a "3-some".

All the prospective customer has to do to indicate that he is interested is to make "eye contact", followed by a wink and a smile which will be reciprocated by these women. Negotiations will then proceed as to the price and "terms of service".

According to a regular customer of the restaurant, Arab women social escorts have been operating in that restaurant since 5 years ago. They enter the country with a tourist visa for a month, then circulate to neighboring countries to ply their trade.

I'm sure not all these women are from Saudi Arabia, thus referring to them as "Arabs" is inaccurate. Shouldn't "Middle Eastern" be the more accurate term ?

We have Indonesians, China Dolls, Filipinas, Russians, Thais, Vietnamese social escorts and now Arab women also. It appears that Malaysian is a haven of foreign women social escorts. "Malaysia, Truly Global"

Does anyone know where these Arab women hang out ?

Food That Help You Lose Weight

According to Men Health Magazine, if you consume these, you'll lose weight:

Green tea - apparently, green tea speeds up your metabolism, so you burn more calories. You'll need to drink at least 5 cups a day for best results.

Miso soup - head to your favorite Japanese restaurant or the nearest Japanese supermarket. As it is made from seaweed and soya beans, studies show that this will help you lose weight.

Chilli - ahhhh...the Malaysian favorite. Mamak food is actually good. Lebih pedas, boss :)

Grapefruit - a grapefruit before each meal has helped dieters to lose weight and it will for you too.

Protein - eat plenty of meat. Isn't this what the Atkins' diet is all about ?

Coffee - I've never heard of this before. Have to check if Starbucks is behind this. :)

Hantu Pontianak Di Tanjung Putri, Female Ghost in Malaysian - Click here for more amazing videos

This is a video footage of a pontianak. The pontianak is a type of vampire in Malay folklore, similar to the Langsuir. The pontianak is also known in Indonesia as kunti.

Accoding to folklore, a woman who dies during childbirth and becomes a pontianak to seek revenge and terrorise villages. Pontianak happens also to be the capital of the Indonesia province of West Kalimantan which has nothing to do with the vampire.

In folklore, the pontianak often appears as a beautiful and seductive woman, usually accompanied by the strong scent of frangipani (called Bunga Kubur in Malay or "Graveyard Flower")

Villages believe that the Pontianak resides in banana trees during the day.

The pontianak is believed to eat babies and harm pregnant women and has been said to cause miscarriages.

What do you think of the video ? is it genuine ?

Turning Trash To Cash

By Ng Su Ann

More people are resorting to collecting and selling recyclable items to earn extra income.

What most consider as junk has become a money spinner for others.

At a recycling centre in Lorong Mahsuri 1, Bayan Baru in Penang, The Star spotted a broken rice cooker, spoilt computer monitor, jigsaw puzzle with some missing pieces, old bicycle, plastic basket and broken plastic pail among the piles of recyclable items.

Its operator V. Maliga, 47, said this was a good way of turning trash into cash while helping to save the environment.

Recycling centre worker T. Subramaniam going through the recyclable items.

“Since the prices of food and fuel have gone up, we have a 10% increase in the number of customers,” she said.

She said the centre paid 27sen per kg for old newspapers, RM1 per kg for iron, RM5 per kg for aluminium cans and 70sen per kg for plastic.

“We accept almost everything except wood, clothes and mirrors,” she said, adding that the centre had been operating for nearly 30 years.

Coffeeshop operator Teoh Guan Cheok, who was among Maliga’s customers, said desperate times called for desperate measures.

Teoh Chiun Wei helping his father Guan Cheok carry newspapers into the recycling centre.

Hang cheng pai (hard times, in Hokkien). I collect a lot of milk tins and drink cans from selling drinks at the coffeeshop.

“I can make about RM50 from selling the items and old newspapers monthly,” he added.

Hussein Hanafi, 78, and Aminah Kasa, 58, were spotted collecting recyclable stuff from garbage dumps in their respective neighbourhoods.

Hussein, who lives in Sungai Nibong Kecil, said he would cycle around looking for scrap metal and tin cans, adding that he could earn RM3 a day.

Aminah from Sungai Ara said although she was unemployed, she would not beg for money.

“What I’m doing now brings food to the table. On a good day, can collect up to RM7 worth of recyclables,” she added.

Retired mechanic Lim Kee Choong, who now cleans offices for a living, said: “When I clear the rubbish, I often collect shredded paper and empty biscuit tins to sell.

“I can get RM30 to RM40 per week. This will be used to pump petrol for my car,” said the 64-year-old who drives a Perodua Viva.

A motorcycle spare part dealer who only wanted to be known as Koay said his business had suffered since the petrol price increase.

“Nowadays, even bikers who were involved in accidents refused to repair their bikes as long as their vehicles could still move.

“That is how bad our economic situation has become,” he said, adding that he had resorted to selling recyclable items to earn some extra income.

Malaysian Women Seeking Male Escorts

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When an acquaintance told me that she engaged in the services of male escorts, the confession knocked me back for six.

To say I was shocked would be an understatement.

For a good while, I was struck dumb. I have many people and friends confessing all sorts of sordid secrets to me, but this took the cake. This had to be the winner of them all.

And allow me to add this: this woman is successful, is of mixed-race parentage and has many men asking her out. She does not need to pay for company or sex. She however chose a different route.

So. Was this the height of the feminist movement then, the emancipation and empowerment of a woman’s sexual life? Now that women have broken corporate class ceilings and can have it all, getting in on the game like how men have done for thousands of years was a sign of gender triumph. Or was it, really?

It started because she was curious, and then the practicality of such an arrangement won her over. It was business, and that was how she liked it.

She called the shots Рit was easy to be a female punter, because the opportunities were right in her face, and they were subtler. None of the drive-by, walking into a brothel and picking up a sex worker. For a woman with means, it can be anywhere: a caf̩, nightclub, even at the theatre. Shopping at high-end retail outlets is another source too.

It was a rather informative conversation my friend and I had that night. Some of the things I gleaned from her were:

> She was in control. She interviewed them personally, checked them up and down and made sure the size of the package was to her liking;

> Race played a part in safer sex – the Malay gigolos hated wearing condoms but Chinese “rent-boys” practised safe sex. She had never come across Indian male sex workers, she said. There was a white tourist though, who wanted to make a few extra bucks for his travels;

> The Chinese men she had had liaisons with were professionals who wanted a pleasurable side income. The rest? They weren’t thinking of a future; and

> The men were so sweet and very nice. (Urm, at RM200 per hour, anyone can be sincere.)

This was true feminism, she claimed, and told me to stop gaping like a goldfish, for as a writer who has written on sensitive matters, I was expected not to judge.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After all, what was she doing wrong? The old, saggy socialites and datins dancing their sad lonely nights away in nightclubs keep younger men. Those boys knew what they were getting into.

What about women our age, who marry rich men, solely for their money? That’s legalised prostitution, she said. I, she pointed her finger at me, was a romantic fool.

Also, what choices does a single woman in her late thirties have? Married men? Not kosher. Polygamy? It’s an insult to women.

Lastly, she told me, her boys weren’t like my Chow Kit sex workers. Thank you very much.

As an employee of a public health and human rights NGO, this was a bit hard to swallow. I may be new to the Malaysian HIV/AIDS scenario, working with the poor and marginalised community, but I felt this trivialised and demeaned the sex trade, which, for the matter, is a violent industry.

It violates the rights of women, children and yes, men too (to me feminism is human rights, and this covers all genders and ages).

Gender theories on sex work aside, how does this impact on a woman’s well being? Her sexual health?

The feminisation of HIV in this country is a worrying situation. UNAIDS reported in its 2006 report on the global AIDS epidemic, in South-East Asia alone, women represented 29% of adults living with HIV. The infections are heterosexually-transmitted HIV cases.

A large number of them are housewives. The Malaysian Health Ministry June 2007 report stated that 2.4 women were infected with HIV each day.

Current studies also show that young women are several times more likely than young men to contract the disease through heterosexual contact. Now the collected data shows that female people living with HIV (PLHIV) are housewives, sex workers and intravenous drug users (IDUS).

As a colleague, Dr Karina Razali pointed out, we have made a gross mistake of inferring “disempowered women” as poor innocent victims of HIV, while the marginalised groups are treated as the “cause” of it all.

We have not taken into account, and must consider women who take their sexual lives in their hands, and are open to health risks too.

Female sex tourism is on the rise, and as more and more women take charge of their intimate lives, these behaviours must be accounted for when we talk about health and social issues.

It’s all well and good to tut-tut behind closed doors and in smart restaurants, but we need to realise and discuss that the sexual landscape in Malaysia, yes, Muslim Malaysia, is changing very fast.

Our population is smaller, the psychological make-up of our demographic is conservative and really, are we equipped for a sexual revolution? We can’t even run our country properly!

Perhaps I am conservative and not keeping with modern, liberated times. But I do not believe that owning our bodies, and our intimate lives mean participating in the sex trade.

It does not matter if a woman is in control; I have spoken to sex workers in my line of work and in this industry, at whatever level – from the thousand ringgit Eastern European call girl to the young boy cruising in food courts at shopping malls - women, and men, are vilified and treated violently.

Perhaps, as my friend said, my sex workers are worlds apart from her rent-boys, but prostitution is human slavery. This is about the trafficking of lives and bodies, in exchange for money under the illusion of love and relief.

Sperm Drinking Ritual

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
An online portal has reported a bizarre ritual of sperm drinking amongst a small tribe in New Guinea of approximately 400 people.

In this tribe, apparently, young boys participate in a ritual of swallowing the semen of their elders, for power. As the tribe believe that the highest concentration of vital force is found in semen, thus, power is apparently transmitted to the young boys from older males via this ritual.

I suppose thats why the tribe is so fcuking small - only 400 people. They are doing the wrong thing with their sperm eh ? depositing in the worng place. LOL

I was told that in some private male boarding schools in the West, membership into a fraternity includes consuming the semen of other new recruits. The new recruits form a circle with a piece of bread or biscuit in the centre. They then compete to masturbate and ejeculate on that piece of bread or biscuit in the center of the circle. The last person to ejaculate has to eat the bread or biscuit with the sperm of others on it.

Another website has said that foods actually affects the taste of sperm. Apparently you can make your sperm taste sweet by drinking lots of pineapple juice, watermelon juice or by eating bananas or papayas. Eating a lot of red meat (like mutton and beef) can make your sperm taste more acidic - sour. Drinking lots of alcohol or coffee can make your sperm more bitter.

A female magazine claimed the health and beauty benefits of women consuming semen. It recommended mixing your lover's sperm with coke or whiskey before drinking it. I suppose this drink will be called a cock-tail, right ? (no pun intended).

What do you think guys ? LOL

How "China Dolls" Make Money In Malaysia

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
We can learn a lot about doing business in Malaysia from China Dolls. This is like learning Business 101 from China Dolls.

These Chinese nationals or "China Dolls" or "China Girls", as they are normally referred to locally, enter the country as tourists to work illegally as GROs in nightspots or masseuse in a massage parlors. These girls usually provide sexual services, commonly called "special" for additional fees.

Usually they will work for a karaoke or massage parlor and earn a salary and commission for providing their services. Depending on their arrangement with their employers, they may or may not share, with their employers, the additional fees for the "special" services they provide the customers.

For the first few months in the country, she will be employed - i.e. as an illegal employee. Once she has built "professional" relationships with enough regular customers and have the customers' hand phone numbers, she proceed to freelance (self employed) the next time she comes back to Malaysia. She will operate from a budget hotel where she rents a room - she now takes everything the customers pay; she becomes her own boss. She markets her services by sending sms to the regular customers whose numbers she has obtained earlier when she was an employee. She may even pay taxi drivers a commission to introduce new customers to her.

After many months, once a she has "established herself" by having plenty of regular customers as a freelancer, she will then rope in her friend to help her in her business. Now she becomes the "Sit thau Por" (Lady Boss) and her friend will have to service her customers and pay the the Sit Thau Por a cut from whatever the customers pay.

That's how a China Doll goes from first being an employee, to being self employed, and to finally become the Sit Thau Por.

China Dolls are willing to pay agents relatively high fees to obtain tourist visas for "long stays". The agents of course will have access to the top immigration officers to "kau tim", as being reported in the Malay Mail recently.

Wild Students In S3X Party

According to a news report by Harian Metro, last Saturday, 16 teenagers (4 girls and 12 guys) held a whole night sex party in a rented apartment in Kajang Utama.

The guys are diploma students at a government tertiary education institutional and the girls are still in secondary school. They were happily drinking alcohol and obviously enjoying themselves.

When the apartment was raided, the authorities caught a half naked couple who were shagging in the toilet. The girl is 13, and the guy, 20. Another couple took turns making out in a room.

Noor Azura Is A Prostitute

Noor Azura Mohd-Yusoff, 22, a Malaysian prostitute in London, is accused of killing Evelyn Xing Xing Xie, 23, a graduate who was working in a karaoke bar.

Noor Azura, known as "Princess" in the trade, was apparently jealous of Evelyn Xing because of her relationship with Nor Azura's Vietnamese boyfriend TrachLon Gian, 26.

The decapitated body of Evelyn Xing was found in a laundry bag in the Thames marina in London, last April without its head and hands. Several week later, her head was found wrapped in a bin bag nearby.

What do you think guys ?

Read the full story here and here.

Note: In Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, most prostitutes work in massage parlors, health centres and spas under the pretext of being masseuse. These places are brothels rather than massage places. If you look under Massage Kuala Lumpur in a commercial tourist directory, you are bound to find these establishments, usually having tacky names like "Blue Butterfly Massage Kuala Lumpur" or "Friendly Lady Massage Kuala Lumpur".

Indian Begger Gets Bank Account

When 60-year-old Laxmi Das recently deposited her earnings in an Indian bank in Calcutta, it was a bit more than the usual mundane money transfer.

Ms Das handed over 91kg (200lb) of coins - the produce of 44 years of hard begging - enabling her to open an account and qualify for a credit card.

Laxmi began begging near Hatibagan, a busy road junction in northern Calcutta, at the age of 16.

Officials say she could have saved as much as 30,000 rupees ($692).

"She would spend frugally from her daily collection and save the coins. She was very possessive about them," says her sister Asha.

Ms Das saved the coins in iron buckets covered with jute bags at her home in a shanty town near the crossing.

In all, she collected four buckets of coins - of all denominations - some even minted as far back as 1961 and now clearly out of date.

"But we will accept those coins as well because she is poor and needs all our support," said Central Bank of India spokesman Shantanu Neogy.

He says there is a directive from India's Reserve Bank to accept all such outdated coins and reimburse the depositor in full.

'Unique savings'

Ms Das told bank officials that she had stored the coins for when she reached "old age" and needed a pension plan for when she was too old to beg.

She was encouraged to deposit the money by police who feared it could have been stolen from her home.

"It is not safe for her to have the coins in the shanty any more, now that people have come to know," said police officer Baidyanath Saha. "A bank account would be the best option for her unique savings."

Bank officials say they are still counting thousands of her coins and still do not know the exact amount.

They say that there are "a lot of coins to count".

Once her account is eventually opened, officials at the Central Bank of India will give her advice on how to use her money.

Ms Das chose to ignore - or did not know about - a thriving racket in this part of the world in which old Indian coins are smuggled and melted down in Bangladesh to make razor blades that sell for up to seven times their value as coins.

The scam has caused an acute coin shortage in eastern India, forcing government mints to cut down on the amount of metal they now use to make the coins.

Ahmad Suraji in the middle

He drank their saliva after strangling his victims. He did this to enhance his magical powers.

Ahmad Suraji, 57, a well known shaman who murdered 42 women and girls in black magic rituals has been executed by firing squad in Indonesia.

The Indonesian sorcerer Ahmad Suraji, had been sentenced to death in 1998 after police found 26 skeletons of females believed to be his victims buried in his sugar cane plantation.

The victims were mainly prostitutes who came to the sorcerer with wishes for money, love and to be made more beautiful.

Belief in black magic in Indonesia is still widespread, especially in rural areas.

Malaysians and Thais also strongly believe in black magic and the supernatural.

Why Some Malaysian Women Prefer Black Men ?

We all know that there is a growing number African nationals who now live (and "work") in Malaysia. Despite them not being favourably regarded by Malaysians because of the negative image they have attracted over the years as "trouble makers" or "criminals", some local women find them irresistibly attractive.

According to a report by Harian Metro, the local women who are attracted to African men claim that these guys have the "gift of the gab", among others, including being ‘gentlemen’, open minded and patient.

The report mentions a Malay woman called Suzi, who is in her mid 30s. She said that she met her ex boyfriend (an African guy), in a local club and has been dating him for 8 years but has recently broken up.

Suzi who has dated Chinese, Malay, Indian and Filipino men said African men are different from Asian men.

When asked if it is true of the cliche that "if a girl has slept with an African man, she will not want to0 sleep with any other ?" Suzi denied this then avoided discussion about her "physical" relationship with her African ex-boyfriend.

What do you think guys ? Please post your comments. :)

Famous Beef Noodles In KL

By Sam Cheong

Three things come to mind when I recall the good old days of Foch Avenue, which has been renamed Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock, after the founding father of the Malayan Chinese Association (now the Malaysian Chinese Association).

Still made by hand: Shin Kee is one of the few makan places around the business district that offers hand-made noodles.

First, the “Wild West” era, when phai kia (bad hats) roamed freely along the five-foot-way, terrorising secondary school students by mugging them in broad daylight.

A few of my schoolmates fell victim to such muggers and it was not until the late 80s that crime prevention rounds were intensified by the cops to deter the rising crime rate.

Kids were fearful of getting mugged while they waited for their buses at the bus stand located in front of the old Standard Chartered Bank in this area.

Thugs and misadventures aside, the next thing that came to mind was the second-hand bookstores that dotted this busy main road.

Busy area: The intersection of Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock and Jalan Tun H.S. Lee.

I used to sell my old Beano, Dandy and 2000AD comics for pocket money to a newsvendor who set up shop next to the Standard Chartered Bank here.

It justified spending 30 sen on the bus ride and a trip to the Rex cinema at Jalan Sultan where, for RM1.60, one could enjoy a movie in the comfort of a first-class seat.

But, it was the third and most memorable thing that got me coming back to Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock – the good food – and this can be found at Lai Foong coffee shop.

If you grew up in the city, this is one makan place that needs no introduction. Lai Foong began its business more than half a century ago.

Today, it is still going strong. What I like about eating in this coffee shop is the no-frills selection of rice and noodle dishes. And one of the most famous stalls in this eatery is the ngau chap meen (beef noodles).

After 51 years, the quality and portion is still as good. When it comes to pricing, I would say that the fare is decent and the portion, generous.

Tasty and unique: Shin Kee's beef noodles.

A bowl of beef noodles costs RM5 for a small helping and RM6 for a bigger helping, for those with a large appetite. Now, if you ask the seasoned folks who eat here, they would recommend a “customised” bowl of beef noodles.

For me, the thrill here is to ask for the ngau peen or bull's penis. This special dish can cost RM12 or more, depending on the choice morsels that you add.

And, since the “extra” special ingredient is not always available, not every beef noodle lover would get an order of bull's penis. I was told that you have to go early or call the stall owner to book your additional serving of the bull's pride.

So, how does it compare with the mamak's sup torpedo? Well, there are differences. The sup torpedo version is rather crunchy while Lai Foong's ngau peen is tender.

No drop in quality: Lai Foong's beef koay teow has retained its quality and taste after all these years.

Whichever way you look at it, it will take plenty of guts to munch down an exotic dish such as this. Bull's penis aside, there are some really good stalls at Lai Foong.

But, before you embark on your journey to this coffee shop, let me remind you that parking lots around this central business district are limited.

Not only that; the makan place is usually packed during lunch hour – so, if you want to enjoy your noodles, the best thing to do is to get there early.

The kai fan (chicken rice) came highly recommended and if you love Chinese confectionery and pastries, there is the Tong Kee stall that sells them.

For your late tea session, my recommendation would be the sesame crackers and butter buns. You cannot go wrong with this combination.

And, while we are on the subject of beef noodles, there is another makan place opposite Lai Foong coffee shop called Shin Kee beef noodle specialist.

It is easy to locate this eatery because it is a corner lot and it is perpetually crowded. I discovered this noodle shop when I made my way to a bank here to pay the instalment on my car loan.

I learnt that the noodles at this shop are hand-made and each bowl costs RM6 (small) and RM8 (large). You can ask for beef balls or ngau chap (beef offal).

Service is prompt and with the good tasting noodles, the makan experience here is pretty pleasant. The shop is open from 10am to 5pm and is closed on Wednesdays.

To get to Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock, you can take an LRT ride to the Pasar Seni station and take an eight–minute walk. Major bus companies also ply this route and the nearest stops are at the Central Market and Kota Raya complex.

How Singaporean Women Trap Their Husbands And Lovers

It is called "Honey Trap". This is a growing trend in Singapore. Men are set up by their wifes and girlfriends, who hire someone to test their husbands and boyfriends fidelity.

Usually private investigators (PI) are hired to set the trap. These PIs use sexy women as bait to test the faithfulness of their clients’ spouses and lovers.

PI firms have been reported to charge between S$5,000 to S$18,000 (RM11,500 to RM41,400) for a month’s work.

All the "honey trappers" appear to use the same tactic: They will set up a “chance meeting” between the bait and the target in pubs, MRT stations or in the area where the target works.

Typically the bait (a girl) bumps into him (target) and strikes a conversation under the pretext of wanting to borrow his cellphone, asking for the time or directions etc . A “friendship” may develop between them by subsequent exchanges of calls, text messages or emails.

Rats Have A Carnival In Klang Valley

Apparently rats in the Klang Valley are taking advantage of this Year of the Rat. It appears as if they are having their very on carnival here - they can feast, roam, play and threaten freely especially at the wet markets and eating places without fear.

As we know rats do spread diseases like Typhus, viral and bacterial infection to humans. What are the authorities doing about this ?

Read the full story in the Star.

I have seen rats as large as cats roaming around at a Chinese coffee shop in section 17 PJ. One stray cat actually ran away when it was confronted by a very large rat.

More Employees Are Expected To Demand Higher Pay By Year End

KUALA LUMPUR: There will be a greater demand for a salary increase by the end of the year as workers will from next month feel the pinch after the fuel price hike, said human resources solution provider Kelly Services.
Its national marketing manager, Jeannie Khoo, said commodity-based companies such as oil and gas and oil palm industries could absorb a salary increase due to a high demand for their products and by-products.

The retail industry and luxury automotive industry may feel a greater pinch as people's spending on non-essential items will drop.

"These industries can only generate higher profit if there is a high domestic demand as purchasing power is low at the current salary ranges."

Food manufacturing and consumer goods companies and travel industries may also be affected due to reduced spending.
"An increase in salary will be hard to absorb for these sectors."

However, she said there would not be a total offset for the travel and automotive industries as more people would travel locally, spurring domestic tourism while more people were expected to buy vehicles with lower engine capacity.

A survey conducted in the first quarter of the year by Kelly Services showed that skilled workers are in high demand in several sectors, particularly manufacturing, information technology (IT), services and banking.

Key findings of the survey have been compiled in the (2008/2009) edition of Kelly Services' Malaysia Salary Handbook launched yesterday.

Khoo said the manufacturing, IT and service sectors were crucial to the nation, especially in realising economic corridors.

"These sectors will not only look out for more skilled workers but also fight to retain workers," said Khoo, adding that as a result, they may be forced to broaden their salary ranges, as shown in the results of the survey

Findings from the survey showed that opportunities within the oil and gas, electrical and electronics, plastics and construction sectors were increasing.

Including banking and IT fields, there are eight sectors that continuously hire skilled workers: call centres, office support, sales and marketing (advertising), human resources, logistics and warehousing, and engineering.
