Acrobatic Bangladeshi Labourers

Watch this video. Its amazing how that Bangladeshi labourer was able to do that. I suppose he does it everyday. If you were born into the wrong family in a wrong country, you could be doing that too, or even worse.

Top 10 Pick Up Joints In Singapore

Although almost all clubs and bars in Singapore are potentially pick up joints, there following places appear to be relatively more popular for pick ups.

Zouk
- Located at Jiak Kim Street. Launched in the early 90s, this 20 year old club has become one of the premier clubs in this region. Having been host to many international singers, groups and DJs, Zouk is presumably the best club in South East Asia. It is clean, has a classy crowd and plays the best of music. Don't go there too early. It is advisable that you go in at about 12 midnight when the action starts.

Zouk's demographics include locals, expats and tourists who go there just to have a great time apart from wanting to play the mating game. While Zouk's is a little bit trancy but Velvet always pulls in the crowds and a guaranteed good Saturday night in Singapore. It is a good place to pick up college students and young professional local women out to make an impression.

Attica - This well known expat pick up joint located at River Valley Road, Clarke Quay. If you're an expat, this is the place to be. It doesn't really matter how you look like or what job you do. The local girls here are just gasping for a expat "boyfriend" and will be grinding up against you in no time. You don't even have to fake it till you make it, you just have to be your Caucasian self. It is known that even grandpas as old as Colonel Sanders have picked up women here. Of course, with the high concentration of Caucasian expat males here, competition is keen. Your chances of getting laid are much improved if you throw some cash around. As a rule of thumb, get in about 12am.

BQ Bar at 39 Boat Quay is another expat pick up classic. This is where most British expat bankers hang out after work. Most of the women here are either 30+ professionals looking for a Caucasian boyfriend to marry, or working class girls looking for a good time. It is very much easier to pick up a woman here if you hold a good professional job in Singapore, as some of the women here can be quite discerning about the quality of Caucasians they associate with. If you're just a tourist, just tell 'em that you're a banker and wing it. Size does matter - size of your wallet, that is.

Bar Le Noir at The Cannery in River Valley Road seem to attract hordes of expatriates. They don't seem to mind being trawled by local girls gasping for free drinks. Neither do they mind being overcharged for those drinks as long as they can take one of these giggly girls home later. So remember, it really doesn't matter if you don't look like Brad Pitt as long as you can spend money like him. If you're willing to "spread some green just to be seen", this is a fantastic place. The return on your investment can be overwhelmingly high. However, beware of high class call girls on the prowl. After buying a few round of drinks, make sure you go back holding a bird, instead of holding just your dick. These call girls are very savvy and can be ruthless when it comes to business. Remember, they are not looking for a Caucasian "boyfriend", they are working.

Brix, located at the basement of the Grand Hyatt Regency, Scotts Road, is also a well known pick up bar. This place is pretty upmarket frequented by top local executives, businessmen, Caucasian expats, and occasionally "Princesses from Geylang". The patrons here are typically between the ages of 30 to 50.

While Orchard Towers' notorious Ipanema World Music Bar is a somewhat budgeted place in comparison to the others mentioned above, it is not less attractive to hot blooded males. Located in Orchard Road, it attracts both locals and foreigners alike. Although it is possible to meet local Singaporean women here, Ipanema has, in recent years, become a bar to pick up Filipina maids and freelance prostitutes from South East Asia. It has become a popular place where potential clients meet freelance prostitutes primarily from Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Ukraine and mainland China. On Sundays, Ipanema, like the other bars in Orchard Towers, open at 12pm for Tea-dances catering to foreign maids and workers as this is their day off. So, if this is your cup of tea, Ipanema is your place. Don't forget to haggle - 50% off the opening price is the norm. Normal prices are between S$150 to S$200 for all nighters. Hourly rates are at approximately S$100 per hour.

Harry's Bar is another bar at Orchard Towers. This is not somewhere to take the wife or girlfriend. Although this bar is the cousin of the famous Harry's Bar at Boat Quay; the previous hang out of renegade Barings Bank forex broker Nick Leeson, its patrons are distinctly different because of it location. While listening to jazz, a cute Singaporean "expat husband hunter" or gold digger could snuggle up to you while sipping her cocktail hoping that you are "the one". What better chance is there to take advantage of the situation ?. Believe me, women like this do buy into empty promises. If you're not an expat, you should just pretend that you are. Telling women here you're a "budget tourist" and living on social security in your home country, is not very appealing. Yes, of course its all about economics, what were you thinking ?

Zirca Mega Club (formerly Ministry of Sound) in The Cannery, River Valley Road, Clarke Quay has 3 clubs housed under one roof - a dance club, a hip hop club and a disco. There are a wide a variety of women between the ages of 18 - 40. It host a mixed crowd of locals, expats and tourists. Go on Wednesday where women get in free. Here is when you can meet all the freeloading and financially desperate local women. These women come in groups so be prepared to buy all her friends rounds of drinks as well. A few rounds of drinks and some boasting can take you a long way. But beware; the ones sitting alone at the bar and are on familiar terms with the bartenders are possibly prostitutes. Nonetheless, I was told that S$200 can get you a nice piece of ass.

St James Power Station at Harbourfront has 9 different outlets featuring a wide array of live entertainment and music styles. For a successful pick up, I suggest you try Peppermint Park after working hours, and Movida later at night. Movida is a salsa bar playing Latin music. If you can do the salsa, you'd honestly become a babe magnet in this place. Movida is packed over the weekend so its better to get in early.

Butter Factory at 1 Fullerton Road is a hip hop hangout. Although it attracts some tourists, the crowd demographics suggest mostly local youngsters. As the crowd bobs around on the dance floor look more flash than cash, there are loads of opportunities for a generous "gwai lo" (Cantonese terms for Caucasian). But be cautious not to attempt picking up a woman who is in a group of male friends. These young Singaporean men (boys) do not take it too kindly for a foreigner making moves on their women, and they wont hesitate to point that out in no uncertain terms. It is best that you bring a buddy along and attempt to chat up groups of single girls. During weekends, be prepared to be squeezed, as the placed can be packed like a tin of tuna.

New Zealander Buys 2 Ghosts For RM6,644.25 Online

The pic is for illustration only

A male New Zealander from Christchurch bought 2 captured ghosts stored in glass vials from TradeMe, a New Zealand auction website, for $NZ2,830 (RM6,644.25) on Monday night.

Christchurch woman, Avie Woodbury, an exorcist, who listed the ghosts for sale said they had been captured from her house.

The seller said one one the spirits is an old man named Les Graham, who lived in her house during the 1920s, and the other is a powerful and disruptive little girl, which was captured during a ouija board session. The ghosts have allegedly been kept inactive by putting them in holy water which dulls the ghosts' energy.

Apparently all proceeds from the auction will be donated to the SPCA.

Masamichi Hayashi, a marine ecologist and educator, has created a few life-like robotic fish from various recycled items. The toy fish have been produced from all kinds of recycled objects including raincoats, used tires, plastic bottles and windscreen wipers.

Masamichi Hayashi's great knowledge in both robotics and sea animals has helped him create a realistic set of robot fish. The robots fish closely imitate the swimming styles of the species from which they are modelled.

This is one of the new fashion revealed at the China Fashion Week in September last year. If I didn't know any better, I would have thought it was the China Comedy Week. The picture above shows a model wearing mismatched outfit bought from a pasar malam in Beijing. Honestly, who will really wear these clothes ? here's another one:

This creation can be called "Suit of the Times" ?. This joker got some clocks from IKEA and sewed it on a diving suit.

Prostitute Causes Man's Death With His Penis And Anus Injured

Sin Chew Daily reported that a 65 year old Singaporean businessman was brutally killed in Thailand with his penis and anus severely injured. He was allegedly gruesomely killed because he refused to pay a prostitute who was also one of his Thai mistresses. Businessman Teoh Ah Hui's dead body was found in a paddy field at Sriracha, Thailand.

According to the news report, his 29-year-old mistress, who was also working as a prostitute at the Health Recreational Park charges 600 baht (RM60) per night and is married to 2 men whom she supports financially. These 2 men are the suspects believed to have killed the businessman.

Teoh Ah Hui's mistress apparently became jealous and angry with the businessman when she heard that while he refused pay for her services, he had earlier given another one of his mistresses 15,000 baht (RM1,500) to go on holiday.

Batik

The original meaning of Batik refers to the technique of manually staining patterns on cloth by wax-resist dyeing. Due to the advances in the textile industry, Batik now refers to fabrics which incorporate traditional batik patterns even if they are not produced using the wax-resist dyeing techniques.

UNESCO designated Indonesian batik as a Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity on October 2, 2009.

Batik or fabrics with the traditional batik patterns are also found in several countries such as Malaysia, Japan, China, India, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Nigeria, Senegal, and Singapore. Malaysian batik often displays plants and flowers in basic patterns.

RIP Michael Jackson, The King Of Pop

Michael Jackson as he was

The King of Pop, Michael Jackson, 50, has died on 25th June. It was reported that Michael Jackson collapsed and died at his rented mansion at Holmby Hills area of Los Angeles due to a heart attack.

He dominated of pop culture in the 80s and early 90s with his unique brand of music and dance. Michael Jackson's 1982 Thriller album is still the world's best-selling album of all time and his other works remain among the world's top selling albums and singles.

HIStory world tour in Malaysia
27th and 29th of October 1996 at the Merdeka Stadium

Few people are born not just to celebrity but to stardom, Michael Jackson is one of those people. Despite his fame and fortune, he was born never to know what it was like to live a normal life, or even behave like everyone else. He started his singing career when he was 9 years old as part of his family's musical act, the Jackson 5, and was already celebrity when he was 14. This somewhat explains the mixture of his charisma, mystery, indulgence, isolation, eccentricities and loneliness throughout his life.

Despite the recent official news report about the heart attack that caused his death, rumours persist about possible suicide.

As far back as 2005, there were news reports that Michael Jackson may commit suicide. He was then facing charges for sexual molestation in court in addition to having to deal with pressures of personal financial dificulties.

Recently, his close friends have revealed that Michael Jackson had confided that he intends to die like Elvis Presley (who died by drug overdose in August 16, 1977). Even after all these years, there is still the infamous claim that Elvis faked his death to enter into the government's Witness Protection program. They believe that Elvis Presley is still alive and is in hiding. Not surprisingly, some people are already saying the same about Michael Jackson.

This is life. People can say anything they want, and they will, for many years to come. As I see it, whatever Michael was or whatever he was not in his personal life, isn't important. Michael Jackson was an extrodinary talent who has captured the imagination of billions of people around the world with his music and dance. He remains one of the greatest musical genius the world has ever seen.

To this, I say goodbye Michael. We sang your songs, we danced to your music, and now, we mourn your passing. Rest in peace. You will not be forgotten.

Samundari Khazana - The World's Most Expensive Curry

On Monday, exclusive Indian restaurant Bombay Brasserie in South Kensington, London unveiled the "world's most expensive curry", costing £2,000 (approximately RM11,500) a portion.

The curry, called the Samundari Khazana (which means treasure from the seas), is made from lots of expensive ingredients including abalone, white truffle, quails eggs, saffron, caviar and edible gold.

I would imagine that someone like Slumdog Millionaire will love the Samundari Khazana.

Well, I don't know if anyone in Malaysia will spend RM11,500 for a portion Indian curry. If you bring a client or a date, you'd have to order 2 portions - ouch ! RM23,000.

As for me, Im heading stright to my local mamak restaurant tomorrow for the normal RM12 nasi biryani that comes with a plate of mutton curry and a tall glass of teh O ice limau. The most expensive Indian curry I paid for was slighly less than RM50 a portion - mutton bone curry; delicious.

Singapore's Toy Boy Clubs For The Tai Tai

Toy boy clubs or Tai Tai clubs are mushrooming in Singapore presumably taking advantage of the growing demand by rich liberated older women for younger men.

There are news reports recently of some well heeled Singaporean women spending hundreds of dollars each night to flirt with toy boys at
KTV clubs catering specially for women.

Apparently there are approximately 15 such clubs that have sprouted in Singapore, most of which only opened last year in Katong, Jalan Besar, Shenton Way and Tanjong Pagar in the republic.

Young, handsome, athletic men sing, dance and cuddle up with the Tai Tai (rich married women) at these Tai Tai clubs and make them feel like royalty.

The women interviewed were married with children and claim to be happily married to their rich husbands. Most say that flirting with these young men makes them feel young, attractive and desirable. It is really sad to learn that these rich mature women have to purchase affection and attention from young men who are obviously only working for the money.

At these toy boy clubs, like its typically girlie KTV counterpart, stage entertainment is part of the offering. But unlike the normal Karaoke clubs, young male hosts parade the stage instead of female hostesses. Every 2 hours, between 2o to 30 Asian males from China, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines and Singapore take turns to parade themselves on the stage to customers, akin to a horse auction.

While these male hosts sing and dance on stage, customers "bid" for these toy boys by buying flower garlands or shahes for them - a garlands of plastic flowers cost between $30 (RM70) to $80 (RM190). Sashes start from $100 (RM240) and can go up over $1,000 (RM2,400) each.

These clubs sell a fantasy to neglected rich mature women at a very high price. A customer claimed that the bill for about 3 hours of chatting, light petting, 2 bowls of dessert and 4 cocktails cost about S$300 (RM720).

According to rumours, regular customers spend an average of $1,500 (RM3,600) each night at these toy boy clubs. The more service a customer wants, the more she has to pay. It cost $150 (RM360) per hour for a male host to escort the customer out of the premises for "private chats" or supper.

Although there are no overtly vulgar activities in the club premises, it is understood that sexual services can be privately arranged between the male host and the customer outside the club.

While there are generally no similar toy boy clubs in Kuala Lumpur as yet, it is known that well heeled Malaysian women do organise their own private "hen's party" in hotels among close friends and aquintences where male escorts are hired to entertain them.

Terrorism And Google Ads

These days you can buy Google Adwords to sell anything. Even terrorism.

Two offensive Google Ads appeared next to stories about the recent Mumbai attacks on the IBN Live site.

It is of course not Google’s intent to sell offensive ads, but its just their automated ads - content targeting system that is flawed.

Barack Obama Elected President

Barack Obama, the "Prince of Change", is set to be sworn in as the 44th president of the United States Of America. Some Malaysians believe that 44 isn't a good number. In Chinese geomancy the number 44 represents a "double death" (Sei-Sei, in Cantonese). But adding 4+4, you get 8 (Fatt, in Cantonese) - as Fatt means prosperity, it is believed that the number 8 brings the equivalent positive vibes. So, WTF ? (What The Fatt ?)

The America people have made yet another dramatic and benchmark decision today by electing their first black president. With this landslide victory, Senator Barack Obama is poised to start a new era in America and possibly the world. What kind of new era, however, is yet to be seen. But as the last eight years under President Bush have been very disappointing for most Americans, how bad can Obama be, in comparison ? If you've been eating roti canai everyday for the last eight years, even maggi mee will be a welcome change.

Barack Hussein Obama, whose father is Kenyan and mother, a white American, beat his rival John McCain by winning the key states of Pennsylvania and Ohio, prior to passing the essential threshold of 270 electoral college votes at 0400 GMT, when results showed he had also won California and many other states.

America's political hurricane has also caused Obama's Democratic Party, to wrest convincing control over both the Senate and the House Of Representatives as well. This shows how desperate Americans must be for change.

Change has already started in America, and the winds of this change may blow towards our direction. Eating roti canai everyday for so many years can be really enduring, and equally bad for health. Why not try eating something different ?

Teacher By Day, Prostitute By Night

An Auckland primary school teacher is moonlighting as a prostitute, throwing her school bosses into a quandary over her future.

The woman, a mother of two children in her 30s, is new to teaching and moonlights as a prostitute to boost her income.

The Herald on Sunday understands her principal was alerted to the situation by a student's parent.

It is understood the principal is now in a dilemma - prostitution is legal, but he is worried about the reaction of other parents and students if they find out about the teacher - and has referred the matter to the school's board of trustees.

The board will meet in committee shortly to debate whether it should ignore the issue, discipline the teacher or refer the matter to the Teachers' Council to judge.

The matter was raised at a recent Law Society seminar.

The teacher has apparently defended her situation to her principal, saying that what she did in her own time was of no concern to him, that it was a private matter, and that prostitution was now lawful and legitimate work. She told him her moonlighting job was not affecting her performance as a teacher. teacher night prostitute an auckland primary school moonlighting throwing school bosses into quandary over future woman mother two children s new teaching moonlights boost income herald sunday understands principal was alerted teacher night prostitute an auckland primary school moonlighting throwing school bosses into quandary over future woman mother two children s new teaching moonlights boost income herald sunday understands principal was alerted situation

She apparently told the principal he had no right to be the "moral police".

A source said the woman was considered to be a "good teacher".

Employment lawyer John Hannan said he had heard about the case and believed it was still unresolved.

He said schools could have policies to prevent teachers taking secondary jobs, or make sure that they first sought approval from their board.

But even if the board in this case did not have such policies, he believed it could still ask the teacher to quit prostitution and if she refused, it could threaten dismissal.

"It's a case of whether the outside employment is regarded as incompatible with the role of a teacher in terms of role-modelling and in terms of any policies that the board of trustees might have in place," he said.

Another employment lawyer, Patrick Walsh, who also knew of the case, said an issue like this had not been before the Teachers' Council so there would be no precedent for boards to follow.

He said the council could end up being involved if the school deemed the teacher's second job was "conduct that brings discredit to the profession".

Teachers' Council director Dr Peter Lind said the key issue was whether the teacher's second job was having an impact on her professional teaching duties "and there would have to be actual evidence".

He said principals and boards generally tried to resolve issues first. If problems escalated and remained unresolved then the Teachers' Council could be notified.

Prostitutes Collective national co-ordinator Catherine Healy said she knew of several teachers who worked in second jobs as prostitutes and they had every right to do so.

"There is no incompatibility between a woman who's a teacher and who works as a sex worker," she said. "I can't imagine what the problem would be."

She said if the school board needed questions answered about the industry, or advice, members were welcome to call her.

According to the primary and intermediate teachers' union, the New Zealand Educational Institute (NZEI), the pay scale for primary teachers is generally between $42,600 and $66,000. Experienced teachers who took on increased responsibility could earn more on top of their basic salary.

Two years ago, an Auckland policewoman got into trouble with her employers after it was revealed she was moonlighting as a sex-worker at a top massage parlour.

She earned up to $500 a night working in the parlour, on top of taking home at least $43,000 a year as an officer.

Police bosses said at the time the secondary employment would never have been approved because that kind of work was seen to be inappropriate and incompatible with policing.

An investigation was carried out and the woman was able to keep her job in the police.

How One Chinese Woman Got Very Rich In America Part 2

This is Part 2 of How One Chinese Woman Got Very Rich In America

Read Part 1, here.

When and how did Big Sister Ping really make it big ?

After the Tiananmen Square Massacre in 1990s, as more and more Chinese wanted to migrate from China to Western countries, business started booming for Ping. She bought a building directly across the street from a branch of the Bank of China in New York's Chinatown for US$3 million, in cash. She later also bought the building next door.

Big Sister Ping, runs a restaurant called the "Yung Sun restaurant" in that building across the street from a branch of the Bank of China. It is said that she ran her restaurant better than the bank - not as only restaurant but also an underground bank. Yes, Ping's restaurant was also an unlicensed bank - she loaned and transferred money for her "customers". People used her "banking services" because she was more efficient then the Bank of China across the road - she could transfer money overnight just by making phone calls to China. The Bank of China was slow, it took 3 weeks to transfer money and gave a bad foreign exchange rate and delivered the cash in Yuan, instead of dollars. Her underground bank transferred the money in hours, charged less and paid in US dollars.

Because things became so bad for the Bank of China and it became threatened by Ping's underground bank - it began offering colour TVs and prizes just to lure customers away from the underground bank. The Bank of China also started a large propaganda campaign against her underground bank by taking out ads in local Chinese newspapers warning people they could get in trouble by using the underground banks. Still. nobody gave a fcuk, and didn't go to the Bank Of China because the service is fcuked up.

In the late '80s and early 90s, Big Sister Ping's reputation and stature as a businesswomen had grown so high that she was the best-known and most respected figure in New York's Chinatown.

After the Tiananmen Square Massacre, she had organised a global smuggling network by forming alliances with many small Snakehead operations around the world. She also made important contacts useful people i.e. by buying off corrupt immigration, tourist and other officials to obtain fake or purchased passports, Visas and other documents.

Ping charged a small down payment, and potential illegal immigrants had to borrow the rest of the money upon arrival to the US from families already in the US. Those who did not have families, could borrow money from loan sharks and were found jobs at restaurants, massage parlors, laundries, garment factories etc and allowed to pay off the debt in installments, with interest, fo course. However, unlike other Snakeheads, who beat up migrants who could not afford to pay the fees, Big Sister Ping did not do that. People said that she is benevolent and kind - she sent money to the families of those who died on their way to the US or waived the fees for a son to go over instead.

The Chinese don't see human smuggling as a crime. They see it as a necessary service. And for some Big Sister Ping was seen like a goddess because the consider her a benevolent and kind Snakehead - they consider her as a kind of Robin Hood.

Others, however, say she is a cruel woman, who used the notorious Fuk Ching gang to prey on the helpless illegal migrants - she would not hesitate to kill, some say.

Big Sister Ping charges from US$20,000 to US$35,000 for an illegal immigrant. Reports say that many illegal immigrants were held hostage by members of the Fuk Ching gang who tortured them if they can't pay the fees.

It is rumoured that at one time, she transferred $40 million US in illegal earnings back to China. She is seen by Asian standards as an outstanding businesswomen turning a restaurant to a underground bank and a human smuggling operation into a vast global empire with links to organised crime - especially with the notorious Fuk Ching triad.

Ping legally holds three passports - a Hong Kong, a U.S. and a Belize passport.

Chinese from China emigrate to the U.S. illegally for more money. That is the main, if not only reason. Report shows that an illegal Chinese can earn about US$1,500 a month working at a restaurant in America. An illegal immigrant who sends half that money home to China can make his or her family move into the upper class in China, where the average income, is between $250 and $300 a year.

How One Poor Chinese Woman Got Very Rich In America

Do you know who this is ?

This woman is a big time Tai Kar Che (Big Sister, in Cantonese), in New York's Chinatown. This is a story of how Cheng Chui Ping rose from being a poor girl from a village in Fujian, China to becoming Tai Kar Che of New York's Chinatown, with connections with the powerful Chinese triads.

She started from nothing to becoming so rich in New York that she bought a building for US$3 million (approximately RM10 million), in cash, and reportedly transferred US$40 million (approximately RM130 million) to China.

She started as a general worker in a Chinese restaurant and later got into the business of smuggling illegal immigrants - she became a big time Snakehead.

Snakeheads (called "Sheah Thau" in Cantonese) are Chinese gangsters or triads that deal in human trafficking - they smuggle people to other countries. They are mainly found in the Fujian region of China and smuggle their "customers" (often from China and Vietnam) into wealthier countries in Western Europe (mainly the UK, France, Germany, Denmark),America, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. Because of culture and language, in Western countries, these illegal immigrants will be confined to work mainly in Chinatowns, but in Asian countries with a sizable Chinese population, they work in numerous small Chinese businesses away from the sight of the authorities.

The Snakeheads fees vary according to the country, but can be as high as US$50,000 per person. Snakeheads use various methods to get their customers into countries - they usually use stolen or altered passports, illegally obtained visas, and bribe officials.

In order to pay the "fees" to the Snakeheads, many of these illegal immigrants end up working in "under the table" low-wage (often lower than the minimum wage) service jobs, e.g., as restaurant waiters or dishwashers, masseuses in massage parlors, prostitutes, general workers in laundries, pirated DVD outlets, illegal gambling dens etc. Some Snakeheads will "help" these illegal immigrants obtain financiang from loan sharks (common called "Ah Long" in Malaysia) to pay the "immigration service fees" to the Snakeheads. In Malaysia, Snakeheads call themselves "foreign worker agents".

In June this year, 57 year old Cheng Chui Ping aka Big Sister Ping was sentenced 35 year in prison in New York for running one of the largest illegal immigrant smuggling syndicates. She has an infamous reputation of smuggling large numbers of illegal immigrants to Chinatowns of Canada and the United States.

Ping was born in 1949 in the poor farming village of Shengmei in China's coastal province of Fujian. Big Sister Ping's parents were peasants and life was hard under the brutal communist regime in China.

Although life was tough on her and luck did not favour her when she was born, she was determined to improve her life. She somehow made her way to Hong Kong and later with the help of Snakeheads, she went to Canada and then in 1981 she immigrated to New York alone leaving her husband and family behind.

Upon arriving in New York, Ping began working in a Chinese restaurant as a general worker, she was chopping vegetables, washing dishes and waiting on tables, then she started selling clothes on Hester street and cheap food along East Broadway. People who know her described her as an extremely hardworking woman. Later, when she had more money, she opened a provision shop (sundry shop) on Hester Street selling variety items and souvenirs. As she established herself financially and she became a naturalised US citizen, her husband and children joined her in New York.

Alhough Big Sister Ping and her family was already quite wealthy by the late eighties, they continued to work each day in their business. They did not drive big cars or wear fancy clothes. She usually took the subway (train) when she travelled. She does this so that she does not attract too much attention - this is important if you're running an illegal business. A famous American gangster also used this strategy, Frank Lucas - a famous American Gangster.
