Prawn Mee Makes You Horny

There is a believe that eating prawn mee makes you horny. Prawns, after all, are considered an aphrodisiac - rich in zinc and in protein. Anyway, I've managed to list a few prawn mee places in KL and PJ taken from the food blog - masak-masak.

Kuala Lumpur

Prawn Mee @ Taman Sri Sentosa, Off Old Klang Road, Kuala Lumpur
Prawn Mee Stall
Jalan Sri Sentosa 9A
Taman Sri Sentosa
Off Old Klang Road
Kuala Lumpur
Notes: From KL (Mid Valley) just drive stright along Old Klang Road, pass Taman Desa, pass Yeohan OUG, pass the junction going to puchong (police station junction), drive on stright and turn to the first turning on your left (it is just before the traffic lights allowing you to turn towards Jalan Gasing in PJ. Once you're in Taman Sri Sentosa look for the shoplots - the stall is located next to Pusat Video Shanker.

Prawn Mee @ Jalan San Peng, Kuala Lumpur
San Peng
Jalan San Peng
Off Jalan Loke Yew
Kuala Lumpur
Notes: The stall is simply also called "San Peng" - yellow and red signage.
The stall closes every Tuesday and is open from 7.30 am to 3.30 pm. To get here from Jalan Loke Yew, turn left after the chinese school and when you see a Shell petrol station. Go straight, you will pass a traffic light. Continue going straight and you will see a TM Berhad orange and white building on your left hand side. Make a U turn on the right hand side of the road and the stalls will be on your left hand side as they're in front of a row of shophouses and next to the road. The GPS coordinates are N 03 08.024', E 101 42.700')

Petaling Jaya

Notes: Open from 7 am till lunch or when they have sold out their food. Days off not fixed. To get here, from the Federal Highway, if you are coming from KL, turn left at the Jalan 222 turnoff. Go straight pass the Indian school on the left hand side. You will reach a roundabout, take the three o' clock turn down Jalan Penchala. Drive all the way down, you will see Campbell Soup factory on your right hand side, Hanlim and etc. At the end of the road, take a left when you see a single storey medan selera. Next to the medan selera, there are stalls underneath a large canopy/zinc roof. The stall is the one next to the Mamak man selling drinks and nasi lemak packets which faces the road. There are also stalls selling chicken rice, wantan mee, noodles and yong tau foo all over. The Malay and Indian stalls are at the medan selera.
